Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC)

Prof. Abdulaziz Salem Al Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), has extensive experience in the engineering and planning of fixed and mobile telecommunications networks where he worked as an advisor to a number of entities across both public and private sectors. His extensive academic experience includes his role as a professor in telecommunications engineering and dean of the faculty of engineering at King Saud University, then as a vice president of the same university. In addition, he is currently heads and participates in a number of national committees including the Chairman of the National Committee for Information Society (NCIS) and the Chairman of the Steering Committee for the e-government program ('Yasser'). Prof. Al Ruwais holds a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University and a master's degree from the University of Colorado, and a bachelor's degree from King Saud University. All of these degrees are in the field of communications engineering.
