Expresso Telecom, Senegal’s third largest mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers, has launched its ‘E-Money’ mobile financial service, writes Orbit. Expresso’s rivals Orange and Tigo already offer mobile money products under their ‘Orange Money’ and ‘Tigo Cash’ programmes in Senegal. Expresso’s E-Money service will allow subscribers to transfer or withdraw money, pay bills and purchase credit through their mobile phone.
General Manager of Expresso Senegal, Abdalla Saeed said: ‘This new service will benefit all our customers and all segments of Senegalese society. Expresso intends to increase financial inclusion by providing end-to-end and affordable financial services.
